Japanese Sword Officers Speical Order BladeThe time has come to part with my most treassured sword, not a famous koto or shinto but a gendaito from wwii. This was a sepical order blade by what must have be a very wealthy officer. We'll start with the outside. Saya was wrapped in same' with brown lacqure pebble finsh on top of it. Good grade same on the tsuka and top of the line sarute with monkey hands, also the full set of seppa all marked t 38, even the button. On one area a bird mouse image came out of the temper area, i never had the urge to give it a full polish as i did not want to see it removed. This center plate left what looks like a double boshi, all in all a true wonder of a forge. The nakago signed with a patriot slogan of shichi sai hokoku, seven lives for my country.
