Black micarta one piece handle with spacers. Brass guard and pommel. In original cooper sheath with snaps on btoh sides. The mark on the blade is cooper, which is the mark john used during his first 1 1/2 to 2 years after moving to california. Indicating this knife was made during the mid-1960's. The cooper knife is one of the oldest continually manufactured csutom knives known.
Beginning in 1924 when john nelson cooper, as a hobby, began making knives for the local townspeople of tremont, pennsylvania. Knife and sheath are in excellent unused condition. Veyr rare old custom knife, made by a knifemaker legend. iHghly collectible.
