You are bidding on a rare vintage dogshead ka-bar stag handled pocket knife. It is a single bladed knife which is still ni very good condition. The blade shosw normal age and wear but not abuse. It does not seem to of been sharpened that i can see, other than maybe the very tip very slightly. The blade is still very tight. The blade is about 4 1/4 inches long and has ka-bar in large letters stmaped on it with reg. U. S. Pat. Off. Under it. On the reverse of the tang is tsamped union cutlery co. In a straight line with olean, n. Y. Under it. The knife is about 5 3/8 inches long when closed. It has stag handles with nickel silver bolsters.
The handles do have 2 very small chips and a very small cut mark on one side. They are very minor btu i thought that i should mention them. They are hardly noticeable nad do not distract any beauty from this knife. The photos actually make the chips look worst than what they are. The handle has the dogshead shield with the ka-bar name on it in large letters. If you have any questions that i can help with, please ask before bidding. This is a very rare vintage ka-bar knife. There are not too many of these around anymore. I'm not sure on the age of this knife, but i'm guessing that it should be 70 + years old. |
